About this coffee: Aldea Global is a producer-owned cooperative whose mission is to support Nicaragua's smallholder coffee farmers through technical assistance, financing, and market access. Today, the organization represents more than 13,000 members, of which almost 4,500 of them are women owned coffee producers. Working in the fertile highlands of Jinotega, members cultivate traditional coffee varieties while promoting sustainable farming practices and improving coffee quality. This Community Select lot is a carefully curated blend from producers within the region, offering enhanced traceability and a distinctive regional profile. Through organizations like Aldea Global, smallholder farmers gain greater access to specialty coffee markets, which will hopefully strengthen their communities and allow them to invest in the future production of their farms.
